Geography, history, science,biology, botany and health and nutrition are areas planned on a continual basis. Art is a daily activity with emphasis placed on acquisition of skill in handling various media with gradation of projects depending on skills. Music is taught through songs, recording, rhythmic games and creative movement. Physical education is planned daily to develop gross motor skills, coordination, balance, agility and flexibility. In addition to the Montessori curriculum we provide "specials" such as: Art, cooking, science, geography, botany, P.E., dance, sign language and Spanish.

 

The centerpiece of the Montessori approach is allowing children to learn on their own while being guided by the teacher.
